The workers of Merkur Dosniha have altruistically collaborated with the Blood and Tissue Bank Foundation of the Balearic Islands.
It has been a different and special morning. The bus of the Blood Bank Foundation arrived at the Merkur headquarters at 09.00h in the morning as planned. However, at 9.30am, due to the large influx of volunteers, the bus had to notify its headquarters to request another doctor and two more nurses.
The neighbouring companies, which had responded to the call made by Dosniha the previous weeks about the campaign, had borne fruit, and their offices became a meeting point for all the volunteers in the neighbourhood.
More than half of the donations came from new donors, brave ones who that day dared to donate blood for the first time with a beautiful act of solidarity and responsibility.
Until 14.00h the bus did not stop receiving donations without a break and there was satisfaction everywhere, both for the volunteers and for the workers of the Blood Bank.
In this life there are many things that can be manufactured, but blood is not exactly one of them.
